Details
Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company with more than 20M users of Grafana and customers using the Grafana Cloud and Grafana Enterprise Stack. The Grafana ecosystem includes scalable metrics (Grafana Mimir), logs (Grafana Loki), and traces (Grafana Tempo). The Solutions Engineering team are the customer-facing product experts who enable Grafana Labs' growth by educating potential and existing customers through demos, technical evaluations, hands-on enablement, and ongoing interaction. This role partners closely with Sales and serves as a primary route of communication from customers to Product Management and Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers
- Own technical engagement with customers and help close complex opportunities through technical skill and credibility
- Deliver product and technical presentations, demos, and evaluations to potential and existing customers
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to provide product feedback and competitive insights
- Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems
- Contribute to documentation, blog posts, videos, knowledge base articles, and other enablement material
Requirements
- Ideally located in Tokyo, Japan
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with Open Source technologies or in the Metrics/Monitoring space
- Strong written and oral communication skills to collaborate with remote teams and worldwide customers
- Ability to articulate product value and technical advantages clearly
- Technical mindset and desire to grow technically
- Experience with sales methodologies like MEDD(P)ICC is a plus
Compensation & Rewards
- OTE range for Japan: 14m - 18.5m JPY (actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset)
- Roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
