Grafana Labs is the company behind the open observability cloud. Grafana Cloud is a fully managed observability platform built for scale, helping organizations see, understand, and act on disparate data. The company is 100% remote and values open source, open standards, and open culture. This role is an early member position on a high-growth Enterprise Solutions Engineering team that serves as in-house, customer-facing product experts and enables Grafana Labs' worldwide growth through technical pre-sales engagement.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
- Own technical engagement with customers and help close high-velocity opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
- Deliver product and technical presentations, demos, and hands-on enablement to potential and existing customers.
- Conduct technical evaluations and ongoing customer interaction to ensure customer success and adoption.
- Proactively communicate customer feedback and competitive insights to Product Management and Engineering.
- Drive product conversations based on customer needs learned during interactions.
- Contribute to documentation, blog posts, videos, knowledge base articles, and other internal and public enablement materials.
Requirements
- Ideally located on the U.S. West Coast.
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with Open Source technologies or in the Metrics/Monitoring space.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for collaborating with remote internal teams and worldwide customers.
- Ability to present technical concepts, deliver demos, and perform technical evaluations.
- Startup mindset: varied, complex duties requiring strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership.
- Technical mindset and desire to grow technically; candidates from coding bootcamps, post-sales, or engineering backgrounds are welcome.
- Self-motivated, initiative-driven, creative, and comfortable working in a remote-first international team.
Compensation & Rewards / Benefits
- U.S. OTE (On-Target Earnings) range: $204,000 - $254,000 (actual comp may vary by level, experience, and skillset).
- All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
- 100% remote company with in-person onboarding.
- Global annual leave policy: 30 days per annum (3 days reserved for Grafana Shutdown Days).
