Details

NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated, creative engineer with experience in software design to craft and implement software for GPUs, participate in designing power management software architectures for evolving GPU architectures, and support product launches. The role involves close collaboration with software and hardware designers and global teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define, design and develop GPU system software/firmware components with a focus on power and performance.
  • Drive and resolve issues independently across teams and domains.
  • Influence GPU architecture and system software by crafting architecture and design specifications.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams across the globe.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven expertise in system software or a related field.
  • M.S. or higher degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in C.
  • In-depth knowledge of low-level interfaces such as interrupt handling, GPIO programming, DMA, PCIe, and I2C.
  • Strong background in operating system mechanisms, real-time embedded operating systems, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Experience in device driver programming and debugging.
  • Experience with firmware, kernel modules, and developing foundational software/OS internals is desirable.
  • Ability to work closely with both software and hardware designers.
  • Strong teammate and lead; self-motivated with a positive attitude.

Ways to stand out

  • Experience with software power management and optimization of embedded systems.
  • Prior experience designing real-time software controllers.
  • Proven track record in automating design, development, and validation workflows.
  • Experience developing operating system internals, kernel modules, and device drivers.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer architectures and low-level device programming and bus interfaces (PCIe, I2C, SPI, etc.).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranges provided by location and level:
    • Level 3: 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD
    • Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
