Information about the position

VITA is a suite of tools that helps engineers maintain the reliability of Vinted services. It is a full-stack application comprising multiple backend microservices with integrations to observability data and a service catalog, as well as a frontend UI that provides self-service capabilities. These capabilities allow users to set up and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs), define alerts, report and learn from incidents, and manage on-call rotations.

In this position, you’ll

• Build and improve observability tools - implement new features, suggest architecture improvements, testing strategy while closely collaborating with our backend engineers
• Work closely with the team to set the direction and vision of the design system
• Be a decision-maker regarding frontend solutions in the Observability Tools team;
• Partner with Observability Tools leadership to shape and develop roadmaps for new initiatives;
• Improve the user experience of our users along with the developer experience
• Use React, Typescript, CSS and HTML5 on a daily basis
• Collaborate with other software engineers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews
• Experience the immediate impact of your code on Vinted’s engineering team

About you

• Strong understanding of the latest web technologies and standards.
• Solid grasp of best UX practices.
• Proactive mindset with a sense of ownership.
• Passionate about fixing things and solving complex problems.
• Willingness to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
• Proficiency in several disciplines, with deep expertise in areas such as Software Engineering, Functional Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms, Systems Programming, Systems Architecture, and Computer Science.
• Love mentoring others by setting a positive example.
• Ability to thrive in complex, ambiguous environments.
• Capable of working independently while recognizing when to collaborate and engage others for efficient project progress.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in English, to facilitate collaboration across diverse teams, including Design, Engineering, and Product.
• Strong organizational skills for effective task management.
• Experience in UI/UX design is a plus.
