Responsibilities

  • As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. You work closely with a portfolio of digital product teams.
  • Understand the product strategies, roadmaps, and operational requirements.
  • Design operating models, from risk modeling and business impacts to release, support processes, and SLAs.
  • Deploy, automate, and operate critical pieces of cloud infrastructures.
  • Showcase and raise awareness about the SRE ways of working within your business vertical.
  • Contribute to the community of Site Reliability Engineers across Eneco, defining best practices, authoring inner-source code repositories, and assessing new technologies and adequacy of our ways of working.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience in digital product organizations, making impact as an individual contributor.
  • Expertise in cloud engineering, networking, software security, release, and operations management.
  • Significant exposure to large public clouds, ideally Azure.
  • Mastery of Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience deploying and operating distributed data processing or streaming systems (e.g. Spark, Kafka).
  • Excellent software engineering skills and practitioner of agile software development.
  • A high level of initiative and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • A genuine care for climate neutrality.
