Responsibilities
- As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. You work closely with a portfolio of digital product teams.
- Understand the product strategies, roadmaps, and operational requirements.
- Design operating models, from risk modeling and business impacts to release, support processes, and SLAs.
- Deploy, automate, and operate critical pieces of cloud infrastructures.
- Showcase and raise awareness about the SRE ways of working within your business vertical.
- Contribute to the community of Site Reliability Engineers across Eneco, defining best practices, authoring inner-source code repositories, and assessing new technologies and adequacy of our ways of working.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience in digital product organizations, making impact as an individual contributor.
- Expertise in cloud engineering, networking, software security, release, and operations management.
- Significant exposure to large public clouds, ideally Azure.
- Mastery of Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience deploying and operating distributed data processing or streaming systems (e.g. Spark, Kafka).
- Excellent software engineering skills and practitioner of agile software development.
- A high level of initiative and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- A genuine care for climate neutrality.
