Responsibilities
- Work across the stack or dive deep into ML to deliver step-wise improvements to our abuse, spam, financial fraud, child safety, and/or tooling systems
- Architect and deliver new systems with a high degree of autonomy
- Produce scalable systems capable of handling thousands of events per second
- Apply creative problem solving cross-functionally across the entire safety ecosystem, whether it’s through engineering, product, or operations
- Code using primarily Scala; Map-Reduce frameworks such as Scalding; and scripting languages such as Python
- Potential for technical leadership in payments risk/financial fraud, child safety, or abuse
Requirements
- 3+ years working in software engineering or machine learning engineering roles
- Proven experience building and operating software services at scale
- Experience and familiarity with the modern data pipeline and ML infrastructure ecosystem
- Enjoy working in a 0-to-1 space with no known machine learning, engineering, or product solutions, and trailblazing to build novel solutions that work
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience in Trust and Safety
- Fluent in one or more of Java, Scala, Python, or SQL
- Familiarity with machine learning

- Salary Range: $127,000 to $297,000 + Equity
