Software Engineer, Backend - (Blockchain Platform - Nodes)

The CB Node team manages the blockchain nodes connecting Coinbase to 55 different blockchains across CB Wallet, Retail, Insto, and Prime. The team is responsible for launching new nodes for Day1 assets and maintaining scalability, reliability, and data consistency across the platform.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade blockchain nodes and implement automation to reduce toil and improve service effectiveness.
• Identify new automation opportunities to streamline services and reduce manual effort.
• Manage blockchain traffic including failover between external providers.
• Maintain data freshness and consistency powering wallets and indexers.
• Pioneer new technologies such as decoupling node storage and compute.
• Build platforms to reduce engineering effort and operational toil.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services with service oriented architecture.
• Ability to write high quality, well-tested code focused on customer needs.
• Passion for building an open financial system using crypto and blockchain technology.
