Responsibilities

• Decompose our monolithic Rails app into microservices
• Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems
• Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering
• Experience with designing, building, scaling and maintaining production services
• Knowledge of composing a service oriented architecture
• Ability to write high quality, well tested code
• Passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together

Nice to Haves

• Experience in rapid company growth environments (from startup to mid-size)
• Experience building growth experiments or A/B tests
• Experience with Blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum
• Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift
• Experience building financial, high reliability or security systems
• Crypto-forward experience including interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, and blockchain-based services
