Details
EAA Integrations designs and delivers scalable automation solutions that connect systems, streamline business processes, and unify data across the enterprise. This role focuses on architecting and developing Workato recipes, custom connectors, reusable automation frameworks, and integrations that operate reliably at scale. The position partners with business units and cross-functional engineering teams to translate requirements into production-grade automation. The role reports to the Manager of Engineering (Integrations) within Coinbase's Enterprise Applications and Architecture organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, automate, and maintain integrations across enterprise applications and platforms using Workato, custom connectors, and reusable automation frameworks.
- Architect scalable automation solutions and apply Workato best practices, patterns, and governance standards.
- Integrate Workato workflows with AI/LLM services (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or enterprise LLMs) to automate decision-making, content generation, or data enrichment.
- Design frameworks and reusable components for incorporating LLMs into business processes with secure, ethical, and scalable usage.
- Evaluate new AI/LLM capabilities and propose opportunities to embed them into enterprise automation strategies.
- Collaborate with business units and engineering teams to gather, refine, and translate requirements into reliable Workato workflows and integrations.
- Build, optimize, and support ETL/ELT processes through Workato pipelines and related data integration tools to enable accurate analytics.
- Identify and implement improvements to address architectural gaps, enhance performance, and reduce technical debt across automation ecosystems.
- Participate in recipe reviews and architectural assessments to maintain quality, consistency, and adherence to platform standards.
- Manage Workato deployments, versioning, and configuration changes; participate in release planning and execution.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance, platform guidance, and mentorship to team members and stakeholders using Workato.
- Stay current with automation, integration, AI/LLM advancements, and Workato platform enhancements.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in integration development, including designing, building, and supporting integrations across enterprise systems.
- At least 1–2 years of strong, practical experience with Workato, including recipe development, custom connectors, job frameworks, error handling patterns, and platform governance.
- Experience architecting automation solutions using Workato or similar iPaaS tools; ability to define scalable patterns and reusable components.
- Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, REST principles, and payload formats such as JSON and XML.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and experience supporting or building data pipelines.
- Exposure to AI/LLM technologies and the ability to integrate AI services into automation workflows.
- Understanding of responsible AI usage, including security, compliance, and data-handling considerations when working with LLMs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues end-to-end.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to haves
- Knowledge of Salesforce Streaming Events, Platform Events, or Change Data Capture (CDC) and integrating them into Workato or related iPaaS solutions.
- Familiarity with integration governance, recipe optimization frameworks, or establishing automation best practices at scale.
- Exposure to enterprise systems such as NetSuite, Workday, Snowflake, or other SaaS/ERP platforms commonly integrated via Workato.
Location & Work Model
- Remote - India. Coinbase is remote-first but not remote-only; in-person participation (team and company offsites) is required throughout the year and attendance is expected and supported.
Pay Transparency
- Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): INR 3,584,400 — INR 3,584,400.
