Team/Role Description

The Agent Productivity Tools (APT) team is a vital part of Coinbase’s Enterprise Applications and Architecture org, responsible for building the customer experience platforms that streamline customer service and compliance processes with innovative services, tools, and applications that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of CX agents. This helps resolve customer issues and compliance KYC processes faster, with greater accuracy, leading to higher customer satisfaction and a better overall compliant experience.

Responsibilities

• Build applications that enable Coinbase Customer Agents and other users to increase productivity, drive automation, and deliver impact at scale through full stack development and third-party integrations.
• Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang.
• Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn product and technical vision into a roadmap every quarter.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.
• Debug difficult technical problems and improve system and product functionality, ease of deployment, ownership, operation, and diagnostics.
• Review feature designs within product areas and across the company for cross-cutting projects.
• Own security, safety, scalability, operational integrity, and architectural clarity of designs.
• Build pipelines to integrate with third-party vendors.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services and composing service-oriented architecture.
• Passion for building an open financial system with global impact.
• Experience with third-party vendor integrations.
• Experience with large-scale, high-traffic platforms implementing scalable, robust services.
• Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Buildkite, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with rate limiters, caching, load balancing, circuit breakers, metrics, logging, tracing, debugging.
• Experience in event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ), proficiency in SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of gRPC, GraphQL, ETL concepts.
• Proficiency in Go programming language.
