Responsibilities
- Architecting and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient systems for Observability at X (metrics, logging, tracing)
- Collaborating with other X engineering teams to develop new features and integrations with X internal services and frameworks
- Writing clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our backend systems
- Troubleshooting and debugging
- Mentoring junior engineers, multiply the effectiveness of the team by providing code and design reviews, setting the bar for quality high, and defining team’s software development best practices
- Staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in the Observability space
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures background
- Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Scala, Java, C++)
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for software development life cycles
- Experience with business-critical distributed large-scale systems
- Strong desire for learning and growth
- Enjoy interacting with and helping internal customers
Benefits
Salary Range: $120,000 to $226,000 [US] + Equity
