The Product Security and Compliance team is responsible for driving security features for the product, managing the governance, risk and compliance program, and customer identity engineering. We are adding a software engineer to our team to help us balance security, compliance and developer experience. In this unique role, you will have the opportunity to work across the business to create integrated and simplified solutions to common problems, such as identity and access management, security operations, and compliance testing.
Responsibilities
- Work with engineering teams to understand our development practices and tools
- Coordinate with GRC and security to consider risk as it relates to critical system components and data
- Design, build, implement, and manage systems to unify and simplify how developers:
- Access the tools and resources necessary for their jobs
- Configure access and security for new tools added to the environment
- Identify, prioritize, report, and fix security issues
- Support and develop automated testing for GRC systems
This position also provides support to the overall security team:
- Assist with unifying security tooling and CI/CD pipelines
- Aid in developing tools to manage alerts and notifications for SecOps, as needed
- Perform basic triage and incident response for applications managed by security (on-call responsibility)
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building security and compliance solutions
- Proficient in one or more of the following: Go, Python, Cloud Formation, Terraform, Terragrunt
- Hands-on experience building scalable internal full stack applications
- Experience developing against Okta, identity governance tools, Cloud IAM, and zero trust solutions
- You are passionate about building secure systems that are easy to use and easy to develop against
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and across engineering teams
- You are a strong problem solver and have solid production debugging skills
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and see yourself as a partner with the business with the shared goal of moving the business forward
- You have a high level of responsibility, ownership and accountability
