Responsibilities

As a Software Engineering Lead in Information Security, you will:

• Build distributed systems and framework libraries to provide security defaults, along with tools to detect security threats in our products and APIs.
• Work closely with InfoSec leadership and other stakeholders to address imminent threats as well as to lead strategic projects.
• Understand potential gaps in X’s security posture, create a sustainable roadmap to address various security challenges, and set the priorities for the work in the roadmap.

Requirements

You should ideally have:

• A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with an expertise in software engineering standards (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation).
• Solid experience working with distributed systems.
• Proficiency with object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
• A good understanding of JVM based architecture.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Strong and effective communication skills.
• A basic understanding of Security fundamentals, e.g. how TLS works.

Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $162,000 - $297,000 USD + Equity
