Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect within ABN Amro Clearing, you play a crucial role in moving our business forward. You will have responsibility for adherence and the design of IT solutions. You will focus on the optimal use of our IT landscape and steer our change in the direction of our defined future state architecture. The function of IT Solution Architect is best described as:

1. Dealing with Complexity: Balance short-term delivery of IT solutions against delivery of long-term solutions that fit within strategy and architecture.
2. Deliver: Discuss opportunities and constraints related to business requests while ensuring business requirements fit within the application of the IT architecture strategy.
3. Technology: Engage with an IT environment that provides opportunities to work on tactical and strategic levels relating to IT-events such as DevOps, Cloud, and Streaming.

Requirements

• Proven experience (+4 years) in the IT application solution architecture domain, within a comparably complex environment.
• Knowledge of clearing and risk modeling is considered a plus.
• Knowledge and experience in areas such as micro-services, application development, containerization, cloud-native applications, and experience with technical leadership.
• Experience in initiatives where applications transform from a monolithic architecture towards a service-based architecture.
• A unique combination of development experience with a passion for technology and strong interest in working in global capital markets.
