Details
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The Startups Applied AI team helps early-stage companies build on the Claude Developer Platform. As a Solutions Architect on this team you will be an exceptional technical partner for founders and startup engineering teams, helping them architect, evaluate, and deploy LLM-powered products built on Claude.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to understand startup requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and act as a trusted technical advisor through evaluation, deployment, and expansion
- Win technical evaluations by helping startups develop evaluation frameworks that measure Claude's performance for their use cases
- Build technical credibility with founders and engineering teams by understanding their build patterns and guiding architecture decisions
- Gather insights on how startups are building with Claude, identify emerging use cases and deployment patterns, and provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams
- Travel to customer sites, startup events, and industry conferences for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or comparable technical-founder experience
- Experience working with startups or high-growth technology companies and understanding early-stage constraints and velocity
- Strong builder credibility through experience as a software engineer or technical founder
- Deep technical proficiency building and scaling AI products and modern AI architectures
- Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications in production, with expertise in context engineering and evaluation frameworks
- Comfortable with Python and familiar with common LLM frameworks, tools, and integration patterns
- Strong technical communication skills and ability to translate complex AI concepts for founders and engineering teams
- Track record of selling technical products in competitive markets is desirable
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Logistics
- Location: London, United Kingdom
- Location-based hybrid policy: staff are expected to be in one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time (role-level expectations may vary)
- Visa sponsorship: Anthropic states they sponsor visas and retain an immigration lawyer to assist, though sponsorship is not guaranteed for every candidate/role
