Details

ClickHouse is a fast-growing cloud company focused on real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads. Following the acquisition of Langfuse (an open-source LLM observability platform), this role is the technical center of the combined ClickHouse + Langfuse story. You will be the dedicated technical presence in the LLM observability space for APJ, working across community, pre-sales, and technical advisory to help engineering teams instrument, evaluate, and operate LLM applications at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical evaluations with AI engineering teams considering ClickHouse as their observability data store, from initial architecture review through POC and production deployment
  • Engage with data engineers, ML engineers, and platform architects to understand LLM application stacks, trace volumes, evaluation workflows, and query patterns; map requirements to ClickHouse capabilities
  • Design and deliver reference implementations, schema designs, and ingestion patterns optimized for LLM trace data at scale
  • Work across customer organizations from individual contributors to CTOs
  • Source and qualify pipeline through ecosystem relationships and community engagement; partner with Account Executives to progress and close opportunities
  • Advocate internally for product and integration improvements that strengthen the ClickHouse + Langfuse offering
  • Serve as ClickHouse's primary technical voice in the Langfuse community: contribute to forums, engage on GitHub, participate in events, and build credibility with AI engineers and developers
  • Produce technical content (blog posts, tutorials, reference architectures, demo environments) showcasing ClickHouse as the analytics backbone for LLM observability workloads

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in the LLM observability or AI monitoring space — as a vendor or practitioner operating LLM applications in production
  • Technical depth in the modern AI stack: ability to discuss prompt engineering, RAG architectures, evaluation frameworks, token economics, and supporting data infrastructure
  • Customer-facing experience (pre-sales, solutions engineering, developer advocacy, or technical account management) with strong communication and trust-building skills
  • Strong foundation in data infrastructure, including analytical databases and distributed systems; familiarity with ClickHouse, Postgres, or other columnar databases is a strong plus
  • Open source orientation and experience engaging with developer communities and contributing authentically

Compensation

  • Typical starting salary for this role in the United States: $200,000 - $250,000 USD
  • Typical starting salary for this role in US Premium Markets (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro Area): $230,000 - $280,000 USD

Perks

  • Flexible work environment; ClickHouse is globally distributed and remote-friendly
  • Employer contributions toward healthcare
  • Stock options for new team members
  • Flexible time off in the US and generous entitlement in other countries
  • $500 home office setup for remote employees
