Grafana Labs is hiring a Staff Product Analyst to join the Product Analytics team and act as a strategic partner to the AI organization. The role supports teams building Grafana Assistant (synchronous chat), Investigations (asynchronous AI incident workflows), and AI observability solutions including Sigil. You will define KPIs, improve measurement practices, guide experiment design and evaluation, and translate data into product recommendations. This is a remote role; Grafana Labs is looking for candidates in the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, or Spain.

Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally across Product, Design, Engineering, and Data to establish top-level KPIs, dashboards, and product roadmap planning
  • Define success metrics for AI-powered product experiences (adoption, engagement, quality, retention, user outcomes)
  • Guide instrumentation of product data with Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering to enable reliable analysis of AI features and workflows
  • Design, evaluate, and interpret experiments (A/B testing) to assess impact of new AI capabilities and inform product decisions
  • Develop dbt models to transform and test user behavior data in partnership with Analytics Engineering
  • Influence and define best practices and standards for Product Analytics as the company scales
  • Contribute to the long-term vision and strategy for Product Analytics, balancing near-term needs with scalable solutions

Requirements

  • Experience partnering across product and engineering organizations and familiarity with product KPIs and frameworks (e.g., DAU/MAU, funnels, A/B testing)
  • Experience defining and tracking success metrics for complex product areas, ideally including AI-powered features or workflows
  • Strong SQL skills; writing complex, efficient SQL is a daily habit
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Omni, Hex, or Grafana
  • Experience writing dbt models and implementing Product Analytics tooling (examples: Heap, Pendo, Amplitude, FullStory)
  • Experience with code version control (git)
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to prototype and iterate across analysis, data modeling, instrumentation, visualization, and code development
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge about observability
  • Familiarity with Airflow or Prefect for generating ad hoc ETL jobs

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base compensation range in Spain: €82,988 - €99,586 (actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset)
  • Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable), and other benefits listed by Grafana Labs
  • 100% remote company with in-person onboarding, global annual leave policy (30 days per annum, with 3 reserved for Grafana Shutdown Days), and other standard Grafana benefits

Additional Context

  • This role reports to the Product Analytics Manager and focuses primarily on supporting Grafana's AI teams and AI-powered product experiences. Grafana Labs is a 100% remote company with a global team and values transparency, autonomy, and open-source roots.
