Details
Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company building Grafana, the open source visualization and observability tool used by millions worldwide. The team is transforming Grafana into a multi-tenant, scalable app platform that enables both open-source and proprietary apps to integrate with dashboards, alerts, incidents, and telemetry.
This is a remote position restricted to candidates located in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Sweden, or Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Implement new features and iteratively improve systems based on production insights.
- Enhance the operational experience for the systems you build and be responsible for running them in production (including on-call rotations).
- Author, contribute to, and review design documents.
- Shape the roadmap and take ownership of longer-term technical direction for the platform.
- Mentor and support other team members and collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
- Participate in weekday 12h x 5d and a separate weekend 24h x 2d on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Strong coding skills and operational experience — you are responsible for operating the software you build.
- Experience working on SaaS platforms at scale and dealing with distributed systems problems (scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, high availability).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to pick the appropriate mode of communication and bring stakeholders on board.
- Willingness to work across teams and align work with other squads and external stakeholders.
- Pragmatic approach: prioritize progress over perfection and handle ambiguity.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Golang (Grafana uses Golang on the backend).

Compensation & Other Benefits
- Spain compensation range: €94,025 - €112,830 per year (country-specific compensation ranges apply; recruiters will discuss the defined pay range for other locations).
