Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company that builds Grafana, a widely used open-source visualization tool with more than 20M users. The company provides both Grafana Cloud (managed) and Grafana Enterprise (self-managed) stacks, including projects such as Grafana Mimir (metrics), Grafana Loki (logs), and Grafana Tempo (traces).
This is a remote position. We are looking for candidates in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Ireland only.
The Opportunity
As Grafana’s Cloud / Grafana-as-a-service business grows, the team is changing Grafana's core architecture to be fully multi-tenant and scalable, and to become a platform for opinionated Cloud apps. The role focuses on turning Grafana into an observability app platform where open-source and proprietary apps can tap into dashboards, alerts, incidents, and telemetry to deliver integrated experiences.
We are looking for someone with significant experience building and operating SaaS platforms at scale.
Compensation
- Sweden compensation range: SEK 878,578 - SEK 1,054,294 per year.
- All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) as part of compensation.
Responsibilities
- Help evolve Grafana’s core architecture to be fully multi-tenant and scalable for a SaaS product.
- Build platform capabilities so apps (OSS and proprietary) can integrate with dashboards, alerts, incidents, and telemetry.
- Deliver scalable, reliable backend systems for Grafana Cloud and related cloud apps.
Requirements
- Significant experience with SaaS platforms at scale.
- Experience or strong familiarity with multi-tenant architectures.
- Experience in observability domains (dashboards, alerts, incidents, telemetry) and building platform features that expose those capabilities to apps.
- Comfortable working in an open-source and remote-first environment.
