The Community You Will Join

Airbnb’s mission is to create a world where people can Belong Anywhere. As we work to achieve that mission, our cross functional Tech Operations and Programs team helps enable Tech organizations to execute and deliver on high impact programs and initiatives.

The Difference You Will Make

As Airbnb pursues operational excellence, this role will drive transparency and alignment across teams to deliver exceptional products and services to our users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic tech-wide programs and initiatives that drive operational excellence and efficiency across the organization.
  • Own end-to-end program delivery — from planning and scoping through execution and impact measurement.
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Drive alignment across teams to ensure coordinated effort toward shared goals.
  • Facilitate regular and ad hoc leadership meetings, synthesizing discussions into clear action items, ownership, and timelines.
  • Communicate program strategy, progress, and impact to stakeholders at all levels — from executives to individual contributors.
  • Provide regular updates, solicit feedback, and proactively address blockers to maintain momentum.
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable plans that align teams and drive accountability.
  • Apply program and change management methodologies for mid- to large-scale initiatives and use industry-standard project management tools to drive efficiency and transparency.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of program management experience in technology companies, with a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs on time and within scope.
  • Deep expertise in program and change management methodologies for mid- to large-scale initiatives.
  • Strategic communication skills: exceptional listening, ability to synthesize complex discussions into clear, actionable insights, and translate technical concepts and strategic priorities into concise written communications for diverse audiences.
  • Strong cross-functional influence and collaboration: ability to build trust and secure buy-in across multiple teams and levels of the organization.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and complexity: ability to bring structure and clarity to undefined problem spaces, make informed decisions with incomplete information, and identify patterns and frameworks to enable progress.
  • Fluency in the languages of engineering, product, data science, and business operations.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and relentlessly drives programs forward while iterating quickly based on feedback and results.
