We are looking for a Staff Security Engineer, Data Science Platform. At NVIDIA, we pride ourselves on data-driven decision-making, and the data science team is at the heart of this initiative. We are looking for an excellent Staff Security Engineer for Nvidia's Data science platform. Responsibilities

  • Engage actively with product engineering teams to conduct detailed security reviews of new services and features being developed. Utilize threat modeling techniques to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities. Design security controls to mitigate all identified risks.
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of the identified security controls, thus establishing a robust security posture for all services and features being rolled out.
  • Assess security issues flagged by diverse scanning tools and guide product engineering teams on the identified risks and the mitigation plan.
  • Perform code reviews to identify security issues and work with engineers to address these issues.
  • Design and implement cloud security controls to secure the cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes cluster, and services that run on it.
  • Monitor the infrastructure and services to alert on security events.
  • Develop tooling to automate the remediation of security events.
  • Collaborate between multiple business units, vendors, and engineer teams on security and compliance certifications such as PCI, SOC2, etc.

Requirements

  • A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing and building security controls to support large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed services.
  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Expertise in Cloud Security, Kubernetes security, application security, and performing security code reviews.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools like Terraform.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.
  • Proficiency in various monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch etc.
