Role overview
As a Staff Solutions Engineer (Sales Engineer) you will work with prospects and customers to align their goals and requirements with SentinelOne offerings. The role focuses on endpoint security (prevention, EDR, and threat hunting) and is a security pre-sales position that supports sales initiatives, leads technical engagements, and accelerates customer adoption.
Responsibilities
- Work with sales partner(s) to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns
- Understand customer requirements related to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments
- Track and document aspects of the sales cycle that are the responsibility of the Sales Engineer
- Lead proof-of-concept / value engagements
- Prepare and lead technical presentations and demonstrations for executives and technical audiences
- Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery
- Recommend product improvements and explain cost-effectiveness to customers
- Provide 1st-level technical support throughout the sales cycle and initially support customers through implementation
- Actively participate within the broader technical team to share experience and best practices
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, preferably in endpoint cyber defense
- Demonstrable experience in objection handling and positioning against competitive technologies
- Experience speaking to both small and large audiences and leading technical/business presentations
- Proven track record selling to mid- to large customers
- Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection evasion techniques, notable malware, and anti-malware solutions
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Experience in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration/red teaming, or incident response is a plus
Compensation
This U.S. role has a base pay range plus commissions. The range posted here is the on-target earnings (OTE) for this position, inclusive of base salary and commissions:
- On Target Earnings: $224,000—$308,000 USD
