Details
Guest and Host Tech is responsible for the end-to-end guest and hosting experience. This includes product surface areas such as the homepage, search, booking, planning, pre-trip/on-trip/post-trip experiences for guests, and the tools and surfaces Hosts interact with. The team works on launching new product verticals and improving existing Guest and Host journeys across Homes, Experiences, multiple Homes, and Hotels.
Responsibilities
- Develop program scope and objectives, collaborate with relevant stakeholders, ensure technical feasibility and drive projects end-to-end.
- Align on staffing, priorities and technical dependencies within Guest & Host Tech and cross-functional teams (e.g., Payments, Trust Engineering, Design, Product).
- Manage Technical Design diligence for large programs: align design backlog with project plans, schedule reviews and pre-reviews, engage appropriate stakeholders, and manage meeting quality and efficiency.
- Manage communications to leadership and across teams on key decisions, status, and risks to ensure accountability and timeline management.
- Drive process improvements, simplification, and productivity across programs.
- Provide visibility into key performance indicators so leaders are aware of risks and opportunities.
- Work independently with stakeholders and cross-functional leadership with minimal supervision.
Requirements / Your Expertise
- 10+ years of experience in the software development industry, with at least 7 years as a TPM or relevant experience.
- Experience running complex, highly cross-functional projects requiring strong communication and influence across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience managing software projects with C-suite level scrutiny.
- Proven technical domain expertise for projects and ability to represent engineering decisions and solutions to other teams.
- Proven thought partner to Engineering Management or Engineering Leads for your domain.
- Machine Learning and Data Science experience, including creating unique data sets and managing evolving, real-time pipeline architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to reach detailed solutions and drive initiatives to completion.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage blocking issues.
- Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies with minimal lag time.
- Familiarity with Asana, Jira, Airtable or equivalent task management tooling.
- Experience leveraging AI to automate processes and scale program management.
Your Location
- This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager. You must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
