Information about the position

We’re looking for a new member of our Market Planning & Performance (MaPP) team. MaPP is a central team of strategists who connect the dots between all our departments, to make sure Vinted grows as planned. MaPP runs business development projects, country level strategy (e.g. investment allocation, international expansion), financial planning and performance reporting. As a strategist within MaPP, you are responsible for planning and performance cycles for a set of countries you own: you set targets, build plans to reach them, understand how results deviate from the targets, and then set new targets, etc.

In this position, you’ll

  • Set investment strategy per country, as part of the portfolio investment strategy the MaPP team builds during every financial planning round
  • Recommend regular financial forecasts per country to C-level executives, by vetting and combining inputs gathered from each department: Marketing, Shipping, Product, Pay, Community Support
  • Lead performance monitoring through monthly meetings and weekly writeups: you notice important trends, understand their drivers, and use this knowledge to build new strategies
  • Kickstart and manage cross-departmental projects to change course and accelerate growth in selected countries, by formulating and testing new strategies

About you

  • BSc/MSc in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering
  • 3+ years experience in a high performance environment, such as venture capital, investment banking, strategy consulting, or a business development / strategy role in fast growing tech company
  • Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English
  • Structured and detail-oriented personality
  • Proficiency in extracting, analysing and visualising quantitative data in automated ways, using Excel, Google Sheets, SQL is a plus
  • Eager to understand how things work, improve where there is something and create where there is nothing
  • Experience with P&L forecasting and business case modeling
