Bloomberg runs on data and the Global Data department is responsible for acquiring and supplying data, news and analytics to our clients for their financial data needs. We collect, analyze, process and publish the data which is the backbone of our iconic Bloomberg Terminal; the facts and figures which ultimately move the financial markets. We apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies and we implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes, all whilst providing platinum customer support to our clients.

The Exchanges & Venues (EV) team supports over 350 trading venues globally and is constantly looking to improve our capability to effectively manage our market-leading exchange content.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, develop and challenge a team of experienced Technical Account Managers (TAM).
  • Communicate a clear vision for the department and lead execution of that vision.
  • Act as a point of escalation and face off to senior stakeholders at the exchanges; build trusted and collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders across Bloomberg, including Core Product, Enterprise, Sales and Global Data.
  • Leverage experience in the financial industry and understanding of market data and technology to develop strategies that influence Bloomberg's exchange market data offering.
  • Assess risk and reward across multiple business units and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Work closely with Engineering to prioritize high-value work, ensure timely project delivery, and support investments that promote scalability and resiliency of exchange market data solutions.
  • Analyse and leverage business intelligence to inform decision-making.
  • Create workforce plans that maximise team skills, foster collaboration and encourage diversity.
  • Coach, mentor and train the team; coordinate talent development efforts with global counterparts and promote shared best practices.
  • Occasional travel is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field.
  • 3+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience (for example leading projects, mentoring people, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of market data experience in the financial services industry, including exchanges, market data providers or financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of all asset classes, market structure and relevant financial regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong relationship management skills and experience dealing with senior business executives.
  • Proven ability to establish credibility and build influential relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfort with a high degree of autonomy and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities from multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to context switch often and effectively and deliver against aggressive targets.
  • Experience analysing workflows and removing organizational barriers to improve cross-team collaboration and efficiency.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range = 135,000 - 230,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
