Details
Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the industry’s most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business.
The Admin Console is a core product surface that helps customers deploy, govern, and scale Glean across their organizations. As Glean evolves from a search company into an AI platform, the Admin Console team is expanding its mission from data source management to a broader control plane for enterprise context, actions, governance, and AI configuration.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Admin Console engineering team, providing people leadership and strong technical direction.
- Own architecture and execution for core admin-facing workflows including data source setup, security configuration, deployment management, and feature rollout controls.
- Partner closely with Product and Design to simplify complex enterprise workflows and make the admin experience more intuitive and scalable.
- Evolve the Admin Console from a system centered on crawlers and data setup into a broader control plane for enterprise context, actions, governance, and AI capability management.
- Improve self-serve activation so admins can get organizations up and running faster with less dependency on human support.
- Improve visibility into crawl health, connector status, indexing progress, permissions, and rollout readiness.
- Build systems and workflows that help admins safely scale Glean across users, teams, and capabilities through a coherent interface.
- Collaborate with backend, connector, infra, and security teams to deliver unified admin experiences built on the platform and infrastructure layers.

- 8+ years of software engineering experience building production distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
- 1+ years of engineering management experience of a full-stack team.
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong coding skills in at least one of: Python, Go, Java, C++, JavaScript.
- Product-minded: prioritize customer impact, clear SLAs/SLOs, and pragmatic iteration.
- Ownership-driven with a positive, proactive attitude; comfortable leading projects and collaborating with experienced engineers.
- Experience building enterprise SaaS, enterprise platform, admin console, or similarly configurable product experiences.
- Experience working on products where usability, governance, permissions, and technical complexity all matter.
- Experience mentoring engineers with varied technical strengths, including frontend and backend members.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and shape roadmap, architecture, and team execution in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and comfort partnering with product, design, security, and platform teams.
