Responsibilities

  • Develop ClickHouse training courses for both on-demand and instructor-led formats, including slides, videos, and hands-on labs.
  • Design new training courses for different ClickHouse user personas, collaborating with Engineering and Product teams on content.
  • Collaborate with other Curriculum Developers to produce high-quality on-demand training content for ClickHouse Academy.
  • Teach ClickHouse courses virtually and in person for public and private groups.
  • Assist in writing and deploying certification exams for the upcoming ClickHouse Certification program.
  • Build community presence via social media and deliver training/talks at conferences.
  • Travel to meetups, conferences, and customer sites to deliver training and promote ClickHouse.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with ability to complete projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Quick and effective learner of new technologies.
  • Proven experience developing curriculum for technical audiences such as software engineers and database developers.
  • Proven ability to teach audiences of varying sizes and backgrounds.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge in DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, and big data.
  • High sense of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.

Bonus Points

  • 5+ years of experience in curriculum development for databases and/or distributed systems.
  • Experience with ClickHouse in production.
  • Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Experience building software certification exams.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, support, product, and development teams.
  • Technical degree in Computer Science or related field.
