The Technical Support Engineer will play a critical role supporting customers running clusters with NVIDIA's Linux-based cluster management software. This software powers thousands of clusters worldwide, streamlining provisioning, workload management, and infrastructure monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for NVIDIA Linux-based cluster management software products to customers.
- Collaborate with the development team to share information and escalate issues.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in specific technology areas.
- Conduct research and development tasks for customers or internal use.
- Work with modern hardware such as GPUs, FPGAs, AI accelerators, and high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand, Omni Path, Gig-E).
- Utilize software technologies including parallel filesystems (Lustre, GPFS, BeeGFS, WekaIO), Jupyter, ML frameworks, Spark, Kubernetes, and Ceph.
Requirements
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience, preferably customer-facing technical roles.
- Proven research skills and eagerness to assist customers.
- Excellent written communication skills for conveying technical information.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux and familiarity with typical Linux installations and common software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-performance computing and system administration is an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: 108,000 USD to 201,250 USD per year, based on location, experience, and market pay.
