  • Collaborate with business teams to adopt a user-centered process and ground design decisions in a detailed understanding of customer workflows; conduct workshops with business teams, subject matter experts, and engineering.
  • Partner with engineers to support building products according to design specifications.
  • Define team processes and practices, drive strategic UX department initiatives, and continuously identify opportunities to up-level the team’s impact.
  • Mentor, inspire, coach, and develop design team members.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience as a UX people manager with the ability to demonstrate leadership through hands-on design work.
  • 4+ years of experience as a UX or Product designer (individual contributor).
  • Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Visual Communication, or a related design field.
  • Track record applying User-Centered Design practices, including conducting user research (qualitative and quantitative) and advocating for user needs.
  • Experience designing complex user workflows, decision-support systems, large dataset visualizations, framework-level patterns, information architecture, graphic/visual design, and usability research/analysis.
  • Project management skills to drive projects through the design lifecycle from start to release; ability to independently identify information needs and execute plans to gather and synthesize it.
  • Experience developing and growing design team members.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the institutional finance domain and capital markets industry.
  • Knowledge or experience with AI platforms, the software engineering domain, and engineering tools.

Portfolio

Applicants should provide two design projects that include artifacts across the project lifecycle (research, personas, sketches, user journeys, task flows, wireframes, storyboards, etc.) and detailed wireframes illustrating step-by-step user workflows for complex solutions.
