Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Workplace team’s mission is to create and support work environments that are welcoming, comfortable, and intuitive. These spaces are designed to promote collaboration, well-being, and productivity while adhering to the rigorous safety, security, and confidentiality standards required of a financial services company.

The Workplace Experience team comprises hospitality-focused professionals who directly shape the daily experiences of Stripes, visitors, and candidates across 20+ global office locations. This geographically dispersed team oversees facilities management, daily operations, and programs, including a culinary team dedicated to preparing nutritious meals.

What you’ll do

We're looking for a strategic leader and experienced manager with a high EQ who's enthusiastic about, and has a driving need to deliver, the best possible workplace experience for Stripes. You will be a key member of our Experience team and responsible for ensuring that workplace operations, experiences, facilities, and programs run smoothly at our South San Francisco co-headquarters. As a business partner, you have a deep understanding of the needs, experiences, and day-to-day realities of Stripes at your location and build strong relationships not only with site leads but also with cross-functional partners across the organization.

A key part of the role is anticipating the needs of the business by understanding both the site and the broader context of company growth. You will gather and synthesize feedback from multiple sources to ensure the workplace strategy is informed by real insights from the ground. While you are not responsible for defining the overall strategy, you are expected to have a strong perspective on it and to lead its successful implementation at your site. This role requires a high level of expertise and operational oversight—from understanding how the building functions top to bottom to managing contractor teams, budgets, and ensuring financial accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee workplace operations at our Oyster Point Headquarters, providing direction on all workplace services, including building operations, front of house, shipping & receiving, events support, and EHS.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of workplace services professionals, providing direction, coaching, and performance management to drive team excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop a strong rapport with locally assigned Stripes.
  • Proactively anticipate business needs, considering both site-specific factors and the company’s broader growth plans to develop a strong perspective on programming and experience strategy for the office.
  • Provide site-specific insights to leadership to influence workplace strategy and drive improvements.
  • Use vendor management best practices to provide Stripes best-in-class service whether issues are resolved in-house, by building management or by one of our partners.
  • Work closely with our Finance & Strategy partner to develop and oversee the opex budget for all facilities, opex, fixed assets and events of the SF office.
  • Work closely with Workplace colleagues, cross-functional partner teams, functional leaders, and executives to determine the operational services needed to build and support Stripe’s evolving Workplace philosophies and ensure we are constantly providing a frictionless, safe & secure workplace.
  • Work closely with the local site leadership team to plan office events that activate the office by creating engagement, connection, and an inclusive environment.
  • Craft relevant communications and documentation regarding Workplace policies and programs for Stripes.
  • Oversee your team in the operational support and site specific implementation for new and existing experience programs (e.g. space planning, EHS, Food), processes, standards, and policies as developed by our Food, Space Planning, and Programs teams.
  • Drive innovation in the workplace experience, finding new ways to elevate the employee experience while supporting Stripes’s evolving needs.
  • Support the Workplace team's goals by taking on ad hoc tasks and projects as they arise.
