The Go To Market (GTM) team helps customers learn how to leverage and deploy OpenAI’s AI products across their business. The team includes Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Partnerships working together to create valuable solutions that bring AI to many users.

About the role

This role is a mixture of technical understanding, vision, partnership, and value-driven strategy. You will drive opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from pipeline generation to closure, and work closely with researchers, engineers, and solution strategists to help customers evolve their industry with AI. The role is based in San Francisco and follows a hybrid work model (3 days in the office per week). Relocation assistance is offered to new employees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and develop/execute comprehensive account plans
  • Support customer accounts from initial engagement through deployment and renewal
  • Partner with solutions and research engineering teams to build and execute complex customer programs and projects
  • Own a revenue target and manage revenue forecasts
  • Generate pipeline and close deals
  • Analyze key account metrics to create reports and provide insights to stakeholders
  • Monitor the industry landscape (competitors, partners, customers) and contribute to product roadmap and corporate strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with solutions, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, product management, and engineering
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and the development of company culture

Requirements

  • 16+ years selling and renewing platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and/or software-as-a-service (SaaS)
  • Experience designing and executing complex deal strategies
  • Experience supporting growth at fast-growing, high-performance companies
  • Experience working directly with C-level executives
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience gathering, distilling, and processing complex market intelligence (industry, competitor, customer, prospect)
  • Customer-centric mindset, strategic planning capability, and comfort with ambiguous, bespoke problems
  • Passion or deep curiosity about artificial intelligence and its application in customer products and services

  • Base/total compensation summary listed at $350K (compensation includes equity and may vary by location, experience, and other factors)
