OpenAI’s Go To Market (GTM) team helps customers learn how to leverage and deploy highly capable AI products across their businesses. This role is a mixture of technical understanding, vision, partnership, and value-driven strategy. You will drive opportunities through the entire sales cycle, working with researchers, engineers, and solution strategists to help customers evolve their industry with AI. This role is based in New York City and uses a hybrid work model (3 days in the office per week). Relocation assistance is offered to new employees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small number of key accounts, developing and executing strategies for a comprehensive account plan
  • Lead enterprise prospects’ journeys from consideration to successful deployment
  • Partner with solutions and research engineering to build and execute complex customer programs and projects
  • Own a consumption revenue target and manage consumption revenue forecasts
  • Analyze key account metrics to create reports and provide insights to internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor the industry landscape (people, competitors, partners) to contribute to product roadmap and corporate strategies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with solutions, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, product management, and engineering
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of teammates and contribute to company culture

Requirements

  • 12+ years selling platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and/or software-as-a-service (SaaS)
  • Proven track record achieving revenue targets greater than $2M per year for multiple years
  • Experience designing and executing complex deal strategies
  • Experience supporting the growth of fast-growing, high-performance companies
  • Experience working directly with C-level executives and serving as a trusted advisor
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience leading high-visibility customer events (CAB, conferences, product launches, etc.)
  • Experience gathering, distilling, and processing complex market intelligence (industry, competitor, customer, prospect)
