We are seeking a dynamic AI Intern to support the Intelligent Automation team within the Process Excellence & Digitalization department. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation and digital transformation in the operations of a leading wholesale bank.

Responsibilities

AI Enablement & Adoption

  • Support the rollout and integration of AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) across business units.
  • Develop training materials, best practices, and guidelines to drive user adoption.
  • Act as a point of contact for AI-related queries and provide hands-on assistance to teams.

Proof-of-Concept Development

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify use cases for AI-driven automation.
  • Design and implement PoCs using Microsoft Copilot and other AI platforms.
  • Evaluate PoC outcomes, build the business case and prepare recommendations for scaling successful solutions.

Innovation & Research

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging AI technologies and trends.
  • Explore opportunities to enhance productivity and decision-making through AI.
  • Contribute to thought leadership within the CoE by sharing insights and findings.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Business Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in AI, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, generative AI tools, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • During the duration of your internship at ING, it is mandatory to be enrolled at a Dutch university (or EU-university for EU passport holders).
