Details
OpenAI is hiring an AI Tooling & Enablement Manager within the Marketing organization. The Marketing Operations team builds AI-native systems and workflows so teams can move faster while maintaining safety, governance, and high-quality outputs. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you will scope ambiguous problems, prototype, and ship AI-enabled workflows and tools that marketing teams can use daily.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities where AI can improve repeatable marketing tasks — improving quality, speed, scale, and effectiveness.
- Scope ambiguous problems, prioritize opportunities, and drive execution from prototype to production.
- Design and deploy workflows that combine agents, tools, and human review in production environments.
- Rapidly prototype and ship using automation platforms, OpenAI's API platform, and Codex (or similar coding agents).
- Build and maintain a small set of centrally managed workflows that support critical marketing programs.
- Develop reusable templates, tooling, and documentation that allow teams to safely self-serve over time.
- Help operators adopt frontier capabilities through clear documentation, hands-on training, programming, and direct collaboration.
- Partner with Engineering, IT, Security, Legal, and Privacy to deploy tools and workflows that meet security and compliance expectations.
- Act as a hands-on project manager and builder, driving cross-functional projects from idea to MVP to scaled adoption.
Requirements
- Excitement about applying frontier AI capabilities to real business and creative problems.
- Strong product mindset: listening, scoping problems, prioritizing work, defining milestones, and driving projects end to end.
- Comfort working in ambiguity and turning loosely defined opportunities into working systems for technical and non-technical people.
- Experience building systems integrations, automation platforms, internal tools, or technical workflows.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and clearly explain technical tradeoffs to cross-functional partners.
- Experience working closely with operators and shipping practical systems quickly.
- Familiarity with marketing systems (CRM, lifecycle tooling, analytics, creative tooling, or campaign infrastructure) or strong interest in learning them.
- Experience experimenting with and deploying AI-native development tools such as Codex or similar coding agents; interest in new ways of building software with AI.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-scrutiny environment where documentation, governance, and change management matter.
- Ability to drive alignment across functions and ship without excessive process.
