OpenAI

OpenAI is an artificial intelligence research and deployment company whose mission is to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. It develops AI models and products including ChatGPT, the OpenAI API, and multimodal generation and reasoning systems.

Founded as a nonprofit in 2015, OpenAI now consists of the nonprofit OpenAI Foundation and OpenAI Group PBC, a public benefit corporation governed by the Foundation. Its work spans frontier AI research, model safety, infrastructure, and commercial AI products.
