This role sits in the Data, Research & Insights - NordLayer team. You will develop and maintain data models, build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, and collaborate with analysts and engineering teams to deliver trusted datasets used across the business. The position is a contract role with a hybrid workplace in Lithuania (Vilnius or Kaunas).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data models using SQL.
  • Build, optimize and operate ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data transformation.
  • Ensure data quality through validation, testing, and governance.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and engineering teams to deliver trusted datasets.
  • Document data transformations and implement data engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a data developer / data engineer / analytics engineer or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Console and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Knowledge of ETL/orchestration tools (Airflow, Fivetran, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Python.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
  • Experience with data modeling, data validation and data quality practices.
