About the role

You will join the Claude mobile team to build Android apps that harness advanced language models. Work cross-functionally with engineers, researchers, designers, and product teams to design and implement key components of mobile products that expose modern ML capabilities to end users.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement cutting-edge Android applications
• Develop novel solutions leveraging AI technologies
• Optimize performance across the mobile stack
• Champion best practices in mobile development
• Ensure excellent attention to detail and app experience
• Contribute to backend systems as needed

Requirements

• 7+ years of Android development experience
• Expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, and the Android ecosystem
• Practical experience with full-stack development and comfort working with backend technologies
• Experience shipping impactful, high-adoption mobile applications
• Experience building applications that utilize modern ML/AI technology
• 0-to-1 product experience in early-stage environments (preferred/mentioned)
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and work closely with cross-functional partners

Preferred / Strong candidates may have

• Experience with 3D graphics, visual effects, and audio/video streaming on mobile
• A vision for the future of human–machine interaction and drive to realize that vision

Compensation

• Annual Salary: $320,000 - $405,000 USD

Logistics

• Education requirements: At least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Location-based hybrid policy: staff are expected to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time (some roles may require more)
• Visa sponsorship: Anthropic will make reasonable efforts to sponsor visas for offers where feasible
