The Brand Ad Formats team drives development of ad formats that help advertisers maximize reach and brand impact through high-visibility, awareness-driven solutions. The team focuses on guaranteed placements and engaging ad interactions, evolving existing formats and launching new ones (including a fully customizable interactive ad format and an AI-driven format that incorporates user-generated content).

This role is for an Android Engineer with a product-focused mindset to help build ad experiences and patterns in Reddit’s Android app.

Responsibilities

• Build ad experiences and create patterns for Reddit’s Android app that enhance ad performance and functionality.
• Collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to innovate and implement sophisticated solutions for complex challenges.
• Engage in the full development cycle: design, develop, QA, experiment, analyze, and deploy.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Android engineering and languages such as Kotlin or Java, with at least 3 years of software development experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Willingness to tackle challenges of creating data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps.
• Openness to explore innovative approaches to software development.

Bonus Points

• Experience working on ad tech.
• Able to work full stack.

Pay Transparency

This job posting may span more than one career level. In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. Reddit offers benefits to U.S.-based employees including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) program with employer match, generous time off, and parental leave.

The base pay range for this position is: $190,800 - $267,100 USD
