The Brand Ad Formats team drives the development of ad formats that help advertisers maximize reach and brand impact, focusing on high-visibility, awareness-driven solutions. The team works on evolving existing formats and launching new ones, including a fully customizable interactive ad format and an ad format that uses AI to incorporate user-generated content. The Ad Formats team is seeking a product-focused Android Engineer to build and improve ad experiences in Reddit’s Android app.

Responsibilities

• Build ad experiences and create patterns for Reddit’s Android app that enhance ad performance and functionality.
• Collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to innovate and implement sophisticated solutions for complex challenges.
• Participate across the full development cycle: design, develop, QA, experiment, analyze, and deploy.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Android engineering and languages such as Kotlin or Java, with at least 3 years of experience in software development.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Willingness to tackle the challenges of creating data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps.
• Openness to explore innovative approaches to software development.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience working on ad tech.
• Able to work full stack.

Pay Transparency

• This job posting may span more than one career level.
• Base pay range for this position: $190,800 - $267,100 USD.
• In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units and, depending on the position offered, may be eligible to receive a commission.
