Details

The factory of the future is rapidly emerging as an AI-enabled, autonomous manufacturing environment where real-time artificial intelligence transforms production capabilities. Advanced manufacturing facilities will leverage GPU-accelerated computing for critical applications including real-time defect detection, predictive maintenance, and intelligent process optimization. NVIDIA Holoscan is a domain-agnostic AI computing platform specifically designed for building GPU-accelerated applications that bring supercomputing capabilities directly to manufacturing sensors and processing equipment. Holoscan enables real-time sensor processing pipelines that can analyze high-speed production data, perform instant quality assessments, and trigger immediate corrective actions while maintaining the ultra-low latency requirements critical for modern manufacturing processes.

As an Applications Engineer you will focus on accelerating the adoption of Holoscan across manufacturing domains, working alongside product teams and leading pioneers in building AI-accelerated manufacturing applications. You will develop real-time data processing applications, infuse them with AI, and connect them to AI supercomputers. The role involves converting proofs-of-concept into broadly usable solutions and working closely with customers, domain experts, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers and developers to port manufacturing algorithms and sensor processing applications to NVIDIA Holoscan.
  • Profile applications and run benchmarks to demonstrate GPU acceleration value in production environments.
  • Build example and sample applications for manufacturing tutorials.
  • Collaborate with domain experts on whitepapers and with marketing on blog posts.
  • Participate and present in workshops, trade shows, and industry conferences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building real-time sensor processing applications with a strong technical focus in a domain such as scientific computing, instrumentation, test & measurement, or defense.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++.
  • Proven experience building AI algorithms for manufacturing applications (defect detection, process optimization, quality control) using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with scientific computing tools such as MATLAB, LabView, and SciPy.
  • Spectacular written, verbal, and visual communication skills with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Preferred / Ways to stand out

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on background building GPU-based real-time applications including handling high-bandwidth and low-latency I/O.
  • Hands-on experience building real-time Digital Twins or advanced simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with Slurm or Kubernetes.
  • Contributions to open-source software projects.

Compensation & Additional Information

  • Base salary ranges provided by level:
    • Level 3: 124,000 USD - 195,500 USD
    • Level 4: 144,000 USD - 230,000 USD
  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
  • Applications accepted at least until September 20, 2025.
  • NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse work environment.
