Responsibilities

  • Enhance the Saily product by developing and maintaining new features.
  • Create features to support layers of multi-dimensional personalization, A/B experimentation, and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality codebase; continuously seek code and performance improvements.
  • Mentor colleagues on development best practices and provide technical guidance.
  • Influence the overall vision and long-range goals of your team.
  • Perform R&D operations when required.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team and help ensure smooth communication between all team members.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design professionals from other teams.
  • Note: This position requires office attendance 3 times a week (hybrid). Locations: Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania.

Requirements

  • Over 4 years of experience in backend development.
  • Preferably background in Python, PHP, or Ruby.
  • Strong system design knowledge; able to choose appropriate patterns and explain why.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and microservice architecture is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, Redis) solutions.
  • Previous experience with Kafka.
  • Passion for building APIs that are easy to use and simple to understand.
  • Collaborative mindset; comfortable discussing, rethinking, and redesigning ideas.

Compensation

  • Gross Salary: 3,500 - 7,200 EUR per month (gross).
