As part of the Endpoint Protection product line, the team secures tens of millions of devices across Windows, Linux, and macOS and processes billions of security events every day. The team builds crucial SaaS platform capabilities such as alert pipelines, gateways, detection data ingestion, caching layers, and advanced alert reporting and visibility features used by customers and internal detection/malware research and MDR teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, low-latency applications built to handle several millions of events per second.
- Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work within the overall data architecture.
- Participate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Maintain application stability and data integrity by monitoring key metrics and improving the codebase accordingly.
- Understand and maintain existing codebase through refactoring and applying requested fixes and features.
- Learn new technologies to address huge volumes of data and the challenges they pose.
Requirements
- Multiple years of professional backend development experience with Golang (highly preferred) and/or Python.
- Experience with large-scale, high-load distributed systems and performance optimization.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, and/or others) and container/orchestration tooling (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with microservice communication patterns and APIs (gRPC, REST, GraphQL) and event streaming (Kafka).
- Experience with databases and storage used at scale, including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis, ClickHouse and columnar/time-series storage.
- Excellent communication skills; frequent collaboration with Product and Technical Account Managers and other cross-functional teams.
- Self-driven, able to rapidly dive into new products and understand their inner workings.
It’d be a plus to have experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis, and prior work in an enterprise SaaS or cybersecurity SaaS company.
