As a backend engineer on the Threat Protection team you will help build distributed systems and microservices that protect millions of users from malware, Trojans, worms, spyware and other threats. Your work will focus on scalable, secure backend architecture and high-quality code that has direct impact on user safety and privacy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop distributed microservices that protect millions of users against malware.
  • Focus on delivery of high-quality code where scalability and security come first.
  • Collaborate with a team of dedicated developers building and maintaining services in Golang.
  • Take ownership of architecture, design, development, and deployment initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience working with distributed technologies and NoSQL databases (ideally Cassandra or Kafka).
  • Strong system design skills; you know what patterns to use and why.
  • Passion for building anti-virus / threat protection software and creating a safer online experience.
  • Passionate about backend architecture and technologies; open to communication and collaboration across the team.
  • Ability to create scalable and stable code.
  • Collaborative mindset: willing to discuss, rethink, and redesign ideas to create shared success.
