As a Business Analyst in Trade Realisation you will translate strategy and innovation into operational reality, with an initial focus on integrating batteries into trading systems across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. You will act as the connector between operations, IT and commercial teams, ensuring changes (new assets, regulations, digital tools) are implemented smoothly in 24/7 trading operations. You will bring structure to complexity, define business and operational requirements, and coordinate with external stakeholders such as battery suppliers, battery owners and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate and implement operational changes related to new energy assets, legislation or customer propositions, with an initial focus on batteries.
• Discuss implementation details and requirements with external parties (battery suppliers, owners, subcontractors).
• Translate business requirements into process improvements, tooling and data adjustments.
• Act as the point of contact between operations and IT to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
• Analyse complex operational challenges and develop standardized, future-proof, data-driven solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and standardization of processes.
• Safeguard 24/7 operational continuity together with traders, IT and dispatchers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a technical or digital focus.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience in energy management, flex assets and/or energy trading operations.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new topics or challenges.
• Strong communication skills to interact with experts and external parties.
• Ability to prioritise in a dynamic environment and work across teams and disciplines.
• Affinity with data and tools such as Excel and Power BI.
• Can-do, result-oriented mentality with the drive to challenge the status quo.
• Strong command of Dutch and English. French or German is a plus.

Working environment & Team

You will join the Analytics & Realization Team within Trade Operations & IT (around 18 professionals from junior to senior, including analysts, project leads and data scientists). Eneco Trading is an international, fast-paced environment with 24/7 operations. The role is based at Eneco World in Rotterdam (two-minute walk from Rotterdam Alexander station) and the team works hybrid.

Benefits

• Gross annual salary between €70,000 and €98,000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing).
