Details

We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Business Developer to help shape and deliver a new solution that will enable the bank to conduct ad-hoc scenario analysis across multiple risk types. You will play a key role in the intersection of business and technology — translating complex risk and methodology requirements into a scalable, user-friendly product. Working closely with stakeholders across Risk, IT, and senior leadership, you will guide the product from concept to launch and ensure it delivers real business value.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of a new platform focused on ad-hoc scenario analysis across multiple risk types
  • Translate business needs, requirements, and methodologies into clear technical specifications for the development team
  • Work closely with engineering teams to define priorities and design product features
  • Own the full product lifecycle — from ideation and design to delivery and launch
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, and IT to ensure alignment and adoption
  • Contribute to creating an intuitive, modern user experience for a complex analytical tool
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure successful execution

Working environment

ABN AMRO works in an agile DevOps environment and you will become part of a multidisciplinary team (a "block") of business and IT within the Financial Risk grid. The Financial Risk grid (~350 colleagues) is responsible for RWA calculations, credit risk models, IFRS9 provisions, risk classifications, stress testing and scenario analysis, and Distressed Client Management. Stakeholders include Risk Management departments, business functions, Finance and other grids. You will work in cooperation with experienced colleague business developers.

Requirements

Who you are

You are an initiative-driven and structured professional who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building something new. You have a strong understanding of both the business side of risk management and the technical side of product development, and you are passionate about turning ideas into tangible solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of product development and IT environments
  • Experience in building applications with modern UI/UX design principles and visualisation of complex information content
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management
  • Ability to translate high-level business needs into specific requirements and those into corresponding concepts for data model, calculation logic, API and user interface

Soft Skills

  • Proven experience bringing a product from concept through to launch
  • Highly delivery-driven with a focus on outcomes and impact
  • Strong stakeholder management and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams

Nice to have

  • Experience working in agile, start-up-style environments with a focus on rapid delivery
  • Experience with stress testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of Azure OpenAI

We are offering

  • Salary: € 5.847 - € 8.353 per month (including holiday allowance) based on a 36-hour workweek
  • Benefit Budget: 11% of your salary (monthly or paid out if unused)
  • Five weeks of vacation per year, with option to purchase up to four additional weeks
  • Personal development budget of €1,000 per year (accumulable up to €3,000)
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position)
  • Annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands
  • Excellent pension scheme
  • A team of professionals and an extensive stakeholder field
