Airbnb is seeking a Business Operations Lead for the Customer Journeys & Loyalty team to drive execution and operational rigor for merchandising initiatives. The role partners cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Finance, Analytics and senior leadership to turn strategy into operating models, provide systems and visibility, and ensure the team delivers against goals. The role requires working across global and local scales and supporting merchandising campaign operations, experimentation, segmentation and performance tracking.
Responsibilities
- Manage workflows to support business outcomes, including merchandising campaign operations, test/experimentation development, customer segmentation, taxonomy audits and other cross-functional efforts.
- Identify and address gaps or inefficiencies in operational plans and implement solutions that improve scalability.
- Partner with team leadership on strategic prioritization and ensure tradeoffs are data-driven.
- Support and inform business analysis of ongoing and prospective merchandising activations, including customer cohort and market sizing, campaign performance benchmarking and tracking, and identification of cross-functional needs.
- Partner with Finance to monitor and manage spend and build business cases for new initiatives.
- Lead development of operational dashboards and KPIs to track team performance and impact.
- Manage recurring business reviews (WBR, QBR) and create frameworks to assess operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, or management consulting, ideally in digital marketplace or e-commerce businesses.
- Proven track record managing B2C products or services, operational reviews, performance frameworks and budgets.
- Advanced analytical skills and comfort working with SQL, Excel and Tableau (or similar tools).
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear recommendations.
- Ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours as needed.
- US - Remote Eligible: candidates must live in a U.S. state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity; the role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $164,000 — $204,000 USD per year.
- This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
