Are you an Azure professional who enjoys combining technical depth with people leadership? Do you like finding solutions that actually work in a complex enterprise landscape? This role is to strengthen the IT craftsmanship of engineers while actively contributing to the direction of the Grid’s IT landscape, working with COTS solutions, SaaS platforms and bespoke applications.
Responsibilities
- Spend around half of your time working as an IT Engineer within your own scrum team, contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of solutions.
- Take responsibility for the IT craftsmanship of your Chapter: help engineers grow their skills, make better technical decisions (clean design, automation-first, etc.), and take pride in the quality of their work.
- Take responsibility for HR-related topics within your Chapter, such as onboarding, performance discussions, development planning, and team health.
- Contribute to defining and evolving the IT vision and landscape of the NFR Grid, together with Architects, Product Owners, and IT Leads.
- Help teams navigate a mixed landscape of custom-built systems, COTS packages, and SaaS implementations.
- Advocate for Agile and DevOps practices, Quality Assurance and CI/CD, while staying pragmatic about what fits the context.
- Make trade-offs between innovation, stability, security, and maintainability.
- Help foster a safe, inclusive, and constructive working culture.
- Continuously develop your own knowledge and help the Chapter stay current with Azure and cloud-native developments.
Working environment
- The Chapter consists of around 10 engineers with varying levels of experience. You will collaborate closely with several of them in your block.
- Focus is ensuring that Azure platforms, SaaS and COTS solutions run reliably, securely, and efficiently within the NFR domain.
- Continuous improvement of deployment, release, monitoring, and automation with sensible simplification and modernization.
- You report to the IT Lead and work in an international, diverse environment valuing openness, technical discussion, and learning from each other.
- Working from home is possible in consultation with your team and depending on your role.
