The Control Plane Infrastructure team develops and manages foundational resources and tools for the Control Plane Platform (compute, storage, networking, security, and multi-region architecture) to provide a reliable and scalable managed Cloud Console experience for ClickHouse Cloud customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure cloud-based infrastructure in AWS (EKS, SQS, DocumentDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, Lambdas).
  • Work with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms.
  • Automate provisioning of cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Define and implement strategies for load balancing, auto-scaling, disaster recovery, and failover for cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, scalability, and security of cloud environments.
  • Enhance developer experience (DevX) and help instrument cloud monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Work with the security team to implement security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and compliance controls.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, SQS, RDBMS, and Node.js.
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security.
  • Proven experience designing and operating large-scale public and internal APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with frontend frameworks (React).
  • Experience with ClickHouse.
  • Previous experience in developing analytics or data-intensive applications.

Compensation

  • Typical starting salary for this role in the US: $185,000 - $204,000 USD.
  • Typical starting salary for this role in US Premium Markets: $206,500 - $252,000 USD.
