The Control Plane team is responsible for providing the administrative APIs used to create, read/describe, update, delete, and list (CRUDL) ClickHouse Cloud resources. The team also owns among other products the Billing pipeline, monitoring dashboards, support portal, OpenAPI and SQL console editor with AI features.
Our team is looking for exceptional software engineers who can work on a variety of technologies including frontend and backend while integrating with other systems. The team focuses on great user experience, (reliability, scalability, privacy, security, observability) while helping our customers make data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure cloud-based infrastructure in AWS (EKS, SQS, DocumentDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, Lambdas)
- Automate the provisioning of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Define and implement strategies for load balancing, auto-scaling, disaster recovery, and failover for cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, scalability, and security of cloud environments.
- Enhancing DevX
- Helping with instrumentation of cloud monitoring and alerting solutions
- Work with the security team to implement security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and compliance controls within the cloud infrastructure.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in Typescript, Serverless, EKS, SQS, RDBMS, Node.JS (Proficiency in multiple languages preferred).
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

- Proficiency with frontend frameworks (React).
- Experience with ClickHouse.
