Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate distributed systems for observability across ClickHouse Cloud.
- Own reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of telemetry pipeline and storage systems.
- Participate in on-call rotations and drive root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
- Develop tooling and automation to reduce repetitive operational tasks.
- Shape the observability roadmap by addressing bottlenecks and scaling challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance their observability.
- Engage in design discussions, architecture reviews, and mentor peers.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience building and operating production systems at scale.
- Proficient in at least one systems-level language such as Go, C++, Rust, or Python.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform or similar infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
- Comfortable with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or related tools.
- Experience with ClickHouse database system.
