Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate distributed systems for observability across ClickHouse Cloud.
  • Own reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of telemetry pipeline and storage systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and drive root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
  • Develop tooling and automation to reduce repetitive operational tasks.
  • Shape the observability roadmap by addressing bottlenecks and scaling challenges.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance their observability.
  • Engage in design discussions, architecture reviews, and mentor peers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience building and operating production systems at scale.
  • Proficient in at least one systems-level language such as Go, C++, Rust, or Python.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform or similar infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Comfortable with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or related tools.
  • Experience with ClickHouse database system.
